Gingersnaps

3/4 C shortening
1 C brown sugar
1/4 C molasses
1 egg

Cream well.

Sift together:
2 1/4 C flour
2 t baking soda
1/2 t salt
1 t ginger
1 t cinnamon
1/2 t cloves

Stir into wet mixture. Roll balls of dough in sugar. Place on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes.
